Texas Amateur Radio Mutual Aid (TARMA) is a non-profit informal organization comprised of a like minded
group of highly skilled and technical talented individuals that
volunteer their time for our mission.
Purpose
of TARMA - To provide a reliable disaster emergency ham radio voice
communications system that can be utilized in an Emergency as needed,
with a focus on Health and Well-fare.
Mission - To build out a wide area amateur radio system that will cover the
greater SE Texas areas. We will accomplish this by utilizing 2 mtrs (144mhz), 1.25 mtrs (220mhz) , & 70 cm (440mhz). To
be able to accomplish this we are working to integrate analogue FM
voice, Allstar VOIP, DSTAR Digital ham radio voice, DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) as well as MotoTrbo. We are on target
to get all these systems to seamlessly integrate together. TARMA will
continue to improve to utilize the existing and the future analogue and
digital voice communications.
We also support NB FM on our 1.25
mtrs. (220mhz) repeaters.
